Example call: flying ants after dark

8:40 on a humid Thursday. She's holding a can of fly spray.

Example business. One after-hours call, start to finish.

8:40 pm
Caller
“We’ve got flying ants everywhere, coming out of a crack by the laundry door. Can someone come tonight and spray them?”
What's happening
8:40 pm
The receptionist
“You’re through to Northside Pest Services. I’m the AI assistant. First, please don’t spray them or the crack. It makes it harder to find where they’re coming from. Are there wings dropped on the floor?”
What's happening
8:42 pm
Caller
“Yes, wings all over the laundry floor. Is it termites? I’d rather someone came tonight.”
8:43 pm
The receptionist
“I can’t tell what they are from a description. That’s what an inspection is for, and it doesn’t need anyone tonight. A timber pest inspection is A$290, with a written report. I have Saturday at 8 or Monday at 11:30. Do you own the house?”
What's happening
Result
She owns it. Booked for Saturday at 8, with your prep notes texted to her. It never guessed what they were.
Example business. The A$290 stands in for your own inspection fee, not a LeadGenie price. How the AI receptionist works →
From the example

It turned down the after-hours call-out.

She asked for someone tonight. It said no, because your rule says flying insects with dropped wings get a daylight inspection. A swarm sprayed at nine can hide the colony. You set what counts as after hours, and it holds that line on every call.

What it does

What it does, and what it hands to you.

It answers and books the routine calls. Anything that needs a technician comes straight to you.

What it does

The routine part of every call

First ring · Any hour · Every call
Answers on the first ring: after dark, at weekends and while you’re in a roof.
Asks what they saw, where and when, and never names the pest.
Quotes your treatment and inspection prices, with your warranty terms.
Books a free time in your calendar and texts your prep notes, word for word.
What it hands to you

The part that needs a person

Immediately · By your rule · Every time
A text when the call ends: who rang, what they saw, the address and the booking.
Anyone who asks for you. It takes a message and requests a call-back.
Jobs it can’t price by phone, like a termite treatment, booked as an inspection.
Commercial sites and work you don’t do, like possums or bees, with a note for you.
You choose where the line sits, and you can move it later. Missed call text back → · How booking works →
Safety rules

What it will never do.

Some calls need you or an emergency line, not an assistant. These rules are fixed, and a caller can’t talk it out of them.

Hard stop

Never advises on chemicals, baits or poisons

No DIY treatment tips, ever. If a child or pet gets into a bait or spray, it stops. It gives Poisons Information, 13 11 26, or 000 if anyone is seriously unwell. For a pet, their vet. Then it alerts you.
Snakes

Never tells anyone to move a snake

A snake in the house: keep clear and keep children and pets away. If you’re licensed for snakes, it books your call-out; if not, it points them to a licensed catcher. If anyone is bitten, ring 000.

Re-entry

Never says it’s safe to re-enter

It reads out only your written re-entry instructions, word for word. Any other safety question goes to your technician.
Prices and times

Never invents a price or a time

It quotes only the prices you approve. If a job needs a look, it books an inspection. It only offers times that are free in your calendar.
Fixed rules, not settings. It also never says whether something is termites, either way. You choose the exact wording it reads out. What it can get wrong, in our words →

Questions

What pest controllers ask before they start.

It speaks naturally, in your business’s name, and says it’s an AI assistant in its first sentence. You hear it and test it before it takes a real call. What callers mind is voicemail.
