Best CRM for small business in Australia, compared in AUD

No single CRM suits every small business in Australia. HubSpot, Zoho CRM and Capsule have free plans for a solo owner happy to set things up, Pipedrive and Zoho CRM show AUD per-user prices for small teams, and LeadGenie's Get Organised is a flat A$59 a month ex GST, set up for you, for trades chasing quotes.

Who wrote this: LeadGenie makes a CRM, so we’re not neutral. We’ve kept to facts each vendor publishes on its own pricing page, checked on 09/10/2026, linked every source, and said where a price is in US dollars or where GST isn’t stated. Prices and plans change, so check each vendor’s site before you buy.

A CRM keeps every customer, enquiry and quote in one place, with a board showing where each quote is up to. If you’re not sure you need one yet, start with what a CRM is and when a spreadsheet stops working. If you are, here’s how seven options Australian small businesses use compare on price and fit, listed A to Z.

Which suits tradies

Tradies tend to lose jobs in two places: before the quote is accepted, when nobody follows it up, and after it, when scheduling and invoicing pile up. Those are different tools. Job management software covers the second. ServiceM8’s Australian pricing page lists proposals, job costing, invoicing and on-site forms, with a free plan for 1 user and 30 jobs a month and paid plans from $29 a month, in AUD including GST. ServiceM8 pricing

A CRM covers the first. LeadGenie’s Get Organised was built for that stage: every enquiry and quote on one record, a board from new to quoted to won, and a filter listing quotes untouched for seven days. It won’t link to ServiceM8, Tradify or Xero out of the box (connecting one is a custom workflow on the Pro AI plan only), so many tradies use it for quotes and their job app for the work. Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and the others in the table below can track quotes on a pipeline too. Ask each one who sets up your stages and forms, and how it fits with the job software you already use.

Salesforce Starter Suite

A$35 per user a month, billed monthly or annually, on its Australian pricing page; tax not stated. Lead, contact and opportunity management with email marketing. Pro Suite is A$140 per user billed annually. Its comparison table lists a Free Suite at A$0, and Sales Cloud offers a 30-day free trial. Salesforce pricing

Zoho CRM

Free edition for up to 3 users. Standard A$22 per user a month billed annually, or A$33 billed monthly; Professional A$35.20 billed annually. Shown in AUD, and the page says prices include local taxes, so GST is included. Free trial offered. Zoho CRM pricing

We’ve listed the entry plans a small business is likely to start on, A to Z; every vendor has higher tiers. AUD prices are what each site showed an Australian visitor. HubSpot and Capsule showed US dollars, so what you pay in AUD moves with the exchange rate. Job management software such as ServiceM8 isn’t in the table because it does a different job, covered above.

How we compared them

  • The price on each vendor’s own pricing page, in the currency it showed us from Australia.
  • Whether GST is included, excluded or not stated.
  • Per user (per seat) or a flat price, and any minimum number of seats.
  • Free plans and free trials, and their limits.
  • What the entry plan includes, and who sets it up.

Which suits a solo owner

If it’s just you, look at the cost of one login and how much setting up you’ll do. HubSpot’s free plan covers up to 2 users, Zoho CRM’s free edition up to 3 and Capsule’s free plan 2 users and 250 contacts. For one paid seat, Pipedrive Lite is A$19 a month billed annually and Zoho CRM Standard A$22 billed annually with GST included. monday CRM’s plans start from 3 seats, so a solo owner pays for three: A$57 a month billed yearly on Basic, plus tax, in our worked example.

The catch with any CRM is the set-up and the habit. Get Organised costs more than one seat elsewhere, at A$59 a month ex GST, but it’s built for you: stages named your way, your forms feeding it, and your old contacts loaded with duplicates merged. If you’ve tried a CRM before and stopped opening it, that’s the difference to weigh. If a notebook is holding every job, keep the notebook.

Free vs paid

A free plan is a fair way to find out whether you’ll use a CRM at all. On the pages we checked, HubSpot’s free plan allows 2 users and 1,000 contacts with no time limit, Zoho CRM’s free edition 3 users, and Capsule’s free plan 2 users, 250 contacts and one sales pipeline. Salesforce lists a Free Suite at A$0 in its comparison table. Pipedrive and monday CRM show 14-day free trials, and monday’s FAQ says the trial is its free option.

You’ll usually start paying when you need more users, more contacts, automation or reporting. Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, monday CRM and Capsule all show a lower monthly price for paying a year up front, so check what the entry paid plan adds before you commit to annual billing. LeadGenie’s plans are month to month with no lock-in, and 30 days’ notice to cancel.

What a team of four pays

Most CRMs charge per user, which changes the comparison quickly. Here’s a worked example for four logins on each entry plan, using the prices above, listed A to Z. Entry plans include different features, so the lowest figure isn’t automatically the better buy.

CRM
Four users, per month (worked example)
Capsule Starter

4 × US$18 = US$72, billed annually, tax not stated.

HubSpot Starter

4 × US$7 = US$28 on the current new-customer offer, or US$80 at the struck-through US$20.

LeadGenie Get Organised

A$59 ex GST (A$64.90 with GST), whatever the number of users.

monday CRM Basic

4 × A$19 = A$76, billed yearly, plus tax.

Pipedrive Lite

4 × A$19 = A$76, billed annually, GST not stated.

Salesforce Starter Suite

4 × A$35 = A$140, tax not stated.

Zoho CRM Standard

4 × A$22 = A$88 with GST, billed annually.

How to choose

  1. Work out where you lose jobs: before the quote is accepted (a CRM) or after it (job software).
  2. Count everyone who needs a login, and price each option at that number, with GST and in AUD.
  3. Check what fills the record by itself: web forms, bookings, email, chat or calls.
  4. Decide who sets it up. If it’s you, block out the time before you buy.
  5. Make sure your current list can come in, and can leave with you later.
  6. Use the free plan or trial with real enquiries for a fortnight before paying for a year.

LeadGenie’s CRM is in Get Organised at A$59 a month ex GST, a flat price, set up for you. It shows you who to chase but sends nothing for you. On the AI plans, Starter (A$199 a month plus a one-time A$999 set-up, ex GST) adds an AI assistant that answers web chat, Facebook, Instagram and email and fills in the record. Growth (A$499 a month, locked in for your first 12 months, plus a one-time A$1,999 set-up) adds phone answering and texts. See how the CRM works, or book a free demo to see a board running.

Questions about choosing a CRM in Australia

It depends on your team size, budget and how much set-up you’ll do yourself. A solo owner can start free on HubSpot, Zoho CRM or Capsule. A small sales team can compare Pipedrive and Zoho CRM, which both show AUD prices per user. A trade or service business that wants it set up for it at a flat price can look at LeadGenie’s Get Organised, at A$59 a month ex GST.

The free plans we found were HubSpot (up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts, no time limit), Zoho CRM’s free edition (up to 3 users) and Capsule (2 users and 250 contacts). Salesforce also lists a Free Suite at A$0. Pick the one whose limits you won’t hit in the first year, and check what the paid plan costs before your list outgrows it.

The right CRM for a tradie depends on which part of the job you keep losing. If quotes go quiet and nobody follows them up, you need a CRM with a quote board, such as Pipedrive, Zoho CRM or LeadGenie’s Get Organised (A$59 a month ex GST, set up for you). If scheduling and invoicing are the problem, that’s job management software such as ServiceM8. Many tradies run one of each. AI for tradies

It varies, so check each pricing page. Of the sites we checked on 09/10/2026, Zoho CRM said its prices include local taxes and monday CRM said its prices don’t include tax. Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot and Capsule didn’t state GST for Australia, and HubSpot and Capsule showed US dollars. LeadGenie’s prices are ex GST, so Get Organised is A$64.90 a month with GST.

Yes, usually. Export your current list first and ask any vendor you’re considering how it imports a spreadsheet and handles duplicates. On LeadGenie’s Get Organised we load it for you during onboarding, matching duplicates by email and mobile and merging them. You can export your contacts to a spreadsheet at any time, including when you leave, and there’s no exit fee.
