SMS and messaging terms

Your LeadGenie assistant sends texts and messages in your business’s name. These terms explain the rules every message follows, and what you’re responsible for as the sender. They sit alongside our terms of service and fair usage policy.

Questions about texts?

Ring us on weekdays, or email with “Messaging” in the subject line.

Who gets messages

  • Only people who contacted your business first, or who have agreed to hear from you.
  • No lists, no cold outreach and no purchased contacts.
  • Follow-ups stop as soon as the person replies or opts out.

Opting out

  • Every follow-up text can be stopped by replying STOP. We honour it straight away and that number gets no further follow-ups.
  • People can also opt out by telling the assistant, or by contacting your business.

Who the messages come from

  • Messages identify your business and how to reach you, as the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) requires.
  • Your assistant tells people it’s AI. See our AI disclosure.

What you’re responsible for

Under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth) and the related industry codes, your business is the sender. You agree to keep records of consent, honour opt-outs, and keep marketing messages off the line unless the person has agreed to them.

Costs

On Growth and Pro, texts are billed by use at the rates on our call and text rates page. Starter and Smart Tools don’t send texts.
