Example

A skin question at 9:40pm, booked.

Example business. Sunday, 9:40pm, on Instagram.

Client: “I’ve got pigmentation on my cheeks. What would you recommend?”

AI assistant: “Hi, I’m Larkspur Skin Clinic’s AI assistant. Which treatment suits you is for our practitioner to say, in a consultation. I have Tuesday at 10am or Thursday at 5:30pm. Would either suit?”

Client: “Thursday. Will it get rid of it completely?”

AI assistant: “I can’t promise results. Your practitioner will talk you through what’s realistic. You’re booked for Thursday at 5:30pm. Which email should I send the confirmation to?”

Booked at 9:43pm. No advice, no promises, no treatment named. How the chat assistant works →

Clinical rules

What it will never do.

These rules are fixed. A client can’t talk it out of them.

  • No medical advice. Nothing on suitability, dosages, side effects or contraindications. It offers a consultation instead.
  • No promised results. That’s for your practitioner.
  • No prescription-only names. It never names, prices or promotes a prescription-only medicine or brand.
  • No health histories. It asks only what it needs to book.
  • No pressure. No discounts and no pushing a treatment.
  • No after-care advice. A client worried after a treatment is told to contact your clinic, or ring 000 in an emergency.

Why. Prescription-only medicines can’t be advertised to the public in Australia. The TGA says that can include generic terms for them, and booking lists or prices for those treatments. If you provide regulated health services, Ahpra’s advertising rules apply too. The National Law bans testimonials in that advertising, so it never writes reviews or testimonials. Check your own obligations. Sources: TGA guidance on advertising health services, its FAQs, Ahpra cosmetic procedure advertising guidelines and Ahpra on testimonials, checked 09/10/2026.

Privacy. Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act, and at a health service the OAIC treats appointment details as health information too. So it books, and never takes histories. Customer data is hosted in the United States, not sold, and not shared for anyone else’s purposes. Source: OAIC guide to health privacy, checked 09/10/2026.
